September 2006
2006 has been another remarkable year for hago, with the joy of welcoming even more new players and new instruments.
We're delighted to welcome Shaun to our ranks - Shaun is a Grade 8 guitarist and a versatile musician on other instruments too. Shaun's "baptism of fire" came in late September when he joined a rehearsal that was heads down for our forthcoming concert on October 14th.
Shortly afterwards (or
Shauntly, as we nearly typed), we took delivery of another Aria Alto (pictured) that will enable us to strengthen the top line and improve the volume
we produce in concerts. We will showcase our new sound on November 30th.
Orchestration
Where does this change leave the hago orchestration?
- We have 3 altos, and a fourth in reserve
- We have 2 basses
- And at the bottom, we have 2 contrabasses
- Couple that with 8 conventional guitars, and that's hago 2006
