The Havant Clarinet and Saxophone Choir was founded in November 1989 by Helen Walton, who remains their Musical Director.
HCSC 2 is the training band, feeding into HCSC, and is ably led by Gemma Hayden.
Originally a Clarinet Choir, the ensemble soon added saxophones and more recently electric bass and drums, to give a unique and satisfying sound, well suited to the lively styles of music they perform. With a packed concert programme locally and outside the area, the group shows just how much can be achieved by a committed group of hard-working youths.
HCSC and HCSC 2 each play a number of concerts every year.
