Solo Guitar lessons for beginners and improvers

Our Musical Director, Derek Hasted, also teaches solo guitar, and if these pages interest you but you don't yet have the expertise to join us, then you may be interested in Derek's individual or class tuition for solo classical guitar.

Derek is a qualified Classical Guitar Teacher with a Teaching Diploma and has studied with teachers such as the late Chris Kilvington. He has an Enhanced Disclosure from the CRB for working with children. He has undertaken commissions to write examination music for the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. More importantly, all this is backed up with over 25 years' practical experience of one-to-one and class teaching in the Havant area.

Derek specialises in ensembles and in teaching adult beginners, many of whom missed out on music as a child. hago is proof that it's never too late to start learning Guitar and Derek has taught pupils from 8 to 79 to play guitar.
