LATEST NEWS

Just a short news to wish you a belated Happy New Year and to tell you that we've finished hibernating for the winter!

So what's been happening?

It seems an age since our last newsletter, but it was only 8 weeks.

In those 8 weeks, we've had Christmas, New Year, more snow than we knew what to do with and our first ever "cancelled rehearsal", when it became impossible to get to our Rehearsal Hall at Lovedean, on the edge of open countryside.

WHAT'S COMING UP?

Now we're hoping that the worst of the weather is behind us - there's glorious sunshine outside at the moment (though it's still snowing further north).

And that means we turn our thoughts (and our fingers) towards our upcoming concerts, the first of which is on March 13th at Marlborough.

A week later, on Saturday the 20th, we're at Southampton, guests of Flautissimo.

And right after Easter on April 17th, we're at Emsworth.

PLAYERS

We met two very fine players at yesterday's rehearsal - we're hoping they'll both join us. You can see a photo of our rehearsal on our website - it's the first entry in this year's Photo Gallery. We expect more soon - our next rehearsal celebrates our 11th birthday, and my how some things have changed for the better as time's gone on!

REPERTOIRE

And some new faces have been accompanied by some new music, together with dusting down some pieces that we put in the cupboard a while back. Like a fine wine in a cellar, we think that some of these pieces have matured in the dark, and deserve the limelight again now. If you're a concert regular, then expect some new pieces next time you see us. Not sure we have any new jokes, though!

WEBSITE NEWS

We gave our website a facelift last month, and hopefully you'll find it easier to navigate. We've also migrated some of the photo pages onto our Musical Director's own website, where they seem to fit more logically.

We've also added another video to YouTube - the soundtrack is simply us warming up before a concert back in 2007, but you might like the montage of photos that go along with it - it's something rather special, here on the South Coast...
