The exterior
A Norman church was built here round about 1160 - there are a few remains, but there is a record of the dedication to St Mary back as far as 1223.
The Church featured in the Royalist siege of 1642, and was damaged by fire in 1653. Modifications in 1873 and a restoration in 1955 see the Church take up its present configuration. There is a substantial complement of bells in the tower, the most recent of which were added comparatively recently.
Marlborough is on the A4.
The nearest stations are Hungerford and Swindon from which a taxi will be needed.
The Church is accessible from Silverless Street, but there is no car-park within the Church grounds. Please park cars in Marlborough High Street, or use one of the designated car parks behind the High Street or The Parade.

The postcode of the Church Hall is SN8 1JQ.
The Church has level access for wheelchairs.
